Thala Khair was born in Damascus and has resided in Paris since 2012. She has a degree in History from the State University of New York. She co-founded 'The Little Village School' a bilingual school in the suburbs of Damascus aimed at offering high-level education to the lower middle class, starting off in 1999 with 120 students and reaching 3800 in 2012, the year of her departure.
In parallel with the educational field, she created several cultural projects, as well as being the initiator of the creation of Echo-Sada, a non-profit organisation that supports music as well as events and missions of musical cultural institutions.
Painting and drawing having always accompanied her personal journey - over the past few years she participated in several exhibitions in France and Kuwait, where she devoted part of her time to teaching French to migrants.
